We would like to know you and give you a chance to lead the offline marketing area of the Leader of Tax Solutions in the Cloud

You will:

  • Plan, produce and oversee execution of offline marketing and communications

  • plan activities including media, white papers, articles and collateral materials.

  • Develop materials to deliver the organization's messages to the public and the media.

  • Oversee and assist with organization and coordination of conferences, meetings, seminars, and other events.

  • Be responsible for actions to increase lead generation and new business through partnerships.

Key Responsabilities:

Communications

  • Provide support and assistance in planning, developing, producing, and delivering marketing and communications materials;

  • Manage development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials;

  • Be responsible for ensuring accuracy in information and proofreading;
  • Prepare written materials including some marketing copy, business communications, reports, and presentation scripts;
  • Review and approve press releases with Marketing Director and Communication team in US;
  • Analyze marketing and communications programs and make recommendations to adjust strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness;
  • Coordinate/oversee activities with PR agency to ensure approvals and correct message/tone of voice in press releases, white-papers, blog posts, etc.;

Events

  • Conduct research, make site visits, and find resources to help staff make decisions about event possibilities;

  • Coordinate on-site arrangements for all events;

  • Be responsible for negotiations for space contracts and book event space,
  • arrange food and beverage,
  • order supplies and audiovisual equipment,
  • ensure appropriate décor
  • Coordinate/oversee activities with event agency to ensure deadlines are met on-time;
  • Serve as liaison with vendors on event-related matters;
  • Assist with preparing budgets and provide periodic progress reports to Marketing Director for each event project;
  • Keep track of event finances including check requests, invoicing, and reporting;
  • Close out all events as required;
  • Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process

Partner Marketing

  • Deploy the Avalara’s Partner Portal in Portuguese based on the US Version;
  • Planning and executing demand generation campaigns with partners with support of partner market development funds (MDF) from partner organizations;
  • Develop awesome sales and marketing collateral to help our partners to sell more;
  • Maintaining current and accurate calendar of Partner events and major campaigns;
  • Reviewing and/or create partner-related content created by Central Marketing/Product Marketing teams for accuracy and coordinating approvals with key partner contacts;
  • Execute/Coordinate/oversee activities with Partner Marketing Team in US;
  • Act as a liaison between Partner Marketing Team in US and Marketing Team in Brazil (and vice versa) to ensure partners are included in overall Avalara demand generation campaigns and events as appropriate;
  • Maintain communication with Sales leaders/teams to ensure everyone is up-to-date on partner-related marketing activities and events;
  • Maintain communication with key marketing contacts for each partner on a regular basis;
  • Maintain the annual/quarterly Partner Marketing budget, including processing invoices and tracking costs appropriately;
  • Conduct additional activities in support of the Marketing and Sales teams

You must have

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Administration, Marketing, Journalism
  • Desired course of study: marketing, communications, event planning, or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum 2 years experience;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including Writing Proofreading;
  • Ability to clearly communicate information effectively and persuasively;
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally, including media contacts and vendors;
  • Ability to develop timelines and meet deadlines;
  • Strong detail orientation
  • High standards for quality work;
